Design for consequence

The useful division of labor is not “machine decides, human approves.” It is to let machines widen the evidence and test alternatives while a named person owns the consequence.

If a decision has no owner, adding intelligence usually adds motion. Name the decision, the acceptable risk and the person accountable before increasing the volume of analysis.
